Beginner Nosework Training Class
Beginner & Advanced Nosework 1/8/25- 2/12/25
Beginner Class Description: Students will continue the basics of working their dogs on odor and develop their strong foundational searching skills. This class is for a broader spectrum of skill sets, specifically, those dogs who have recently been introduced to odor, and includes preparing dogs for their odor recognition test.
Beginner/Advanced Class Description: To further challenge those students who have been in Beginner for a while or are looking to compete in various venues.
Criteria for enrollment: Intro to Nosework class completion or equivalent; While your dog will not be socializing or interacting with other dogs and we will make some use of visual barriers, instruction will be given in a class setting so your dog must be reasonably comfortable in a class setting with other dogs.
Age requirements: At least five months of age
Vaccination requirements: Dogs must be up-to-date on their Rabies and Distemper / Parvo vaccinations and free of any contagious conditions.

Cost: $225 for 6 weeks. You must register for the entire series. 1 week's cancelation before the first class is required or you will be charged in full for the class.

About our trainer: Janice Triptow, JD, CDBC, CPDT-KA
Janice is a certified professional dog behavior consultant (International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants) and a professional dog trainer (Council of Certified Professional Dog Trainers). She has been helping owners solve dog behavior challenges and instructing dog training classes since 1997. Throughout her career she has offered and continues to offer a broad spectrum of mainstream, specialty behavior and canine sport classes with an emphasis on scent work and agility, two sports in which she continues to work her own dogs.
